Halloween Bouldering Comp!
Wednesday, October 30th from 630-930p, take part in our unique redpoint bouldering comp. Instead of setting 50+ new problems for everyone, we are setting this up similar to an outdoor bouldering comp.
Our route-setters will pick 5-6 problems per category of existing problems that are already up and climbable. Additionally, we will set 2 new PINK problems per category throughout the gym. The Left Wave and Slab will be re-set the week of the comp, and those problems will be included in the new problems. Each category will have approx 5 “new” problems, and 5 “old” problems.
Competitors can register as Male, Female, and Non-Binary, with approx grade ranges of:
- New Climber (5.8 – V2)
- Intermediate (v2 – v4)
- Advanced (V4-V6)
- Open (V7 and up)
Other key points:
- Competitors will NOT know which problems will be selected.
- There will be between 4-5 new problems set for each category

- Score will consist of your top 5 problems (top 7 and top 9 problems are tiebreakers)
- Cost: FREE for members. Non-members must purchase day pass.
- Prizes from Mad Rock, VooDoo Climbing and Chalk Cartel.

- Instagram photo contest-best comp photos to win prizes from our sponsors or membership to Focus.

- 6:00-6:30 Costume contestant check in.
- 6:00-6:45 Competitor check in
- 6:45-6:55 Costume Contest
- 7:00-9:30 Comp time
