Hello Mr. Joe Czerwinski,

I was a first-time customer that came in earlier to your gym today excited to finally enjoy some rock climbing after a long break of healing from a Jone’s Fracture of my foot 🦶 🤕, I prepared well the night before researching your website and the gym and what it offers. I qualify for the “pay what you can membership” and I saw that and applied for it online the day before, it did not mention specifically what to upload and that the card was good enough so I did just that, I filled it out and uploaded a picture of it. I tried to prepare well and make sure to bring everything I need being it’s a far 45 minute drive for me. I ended up arriving early afternoon, and a young tall man working at the front who stated he is the manager treated me with suspicion and was very uninviting, first acting as if he had no idea what “pay what you can” membership is and that they do not offer that there acting confused. I told him I applied and qualify for the pay what you can membership as it advertises it online on the company website, and my email and name, and I had already filled out a waiver and everything. He kept asking for additional information as if he did not believe me, I was unsure why he was acting so negative the way he was, I continued to try to provide everything he kept asking for politely and re-filled out forms again in front of him I had already done the day before online. He still refused to accept and let me climb, I asked if I could speak to the manager, he stated he was the manager, I said OK is the owner available to speak to, he shook his head no stayed silent and gave me a straight stare unpleasantly for a good long minutes, he made me feel quite unwelcome and uncomfortable. Firstly, I prepared the day before by researching and filling out forms the day before, so excited being I hadn’t rock climbed in over half a year being I had a Jones fracture foot injury and was healing from it, and quite a tight budget at the moment obviously I applied for “pay what you can” and went out of my way driving 45 minutes highway so excited to rock climb yet to waste time money gas miles that I don’t have to be mistreated insulted and let down deceptively.

Tanner at the front desk was not pleasant to work with. Seemed passive aggressive towards us. The climbs also were way over graded

The route setting is awesome - some of the most creative routes ever. The wall is really tall. It took me some time to get comfortable falling from the top (17 ft I think), but the height will definitely help with building endurance. The two areas where the gym can improve on are: 1) this is the only high quality gym without a long community stick brush and 2) the manager plays horrible music (mostly people screaming nonsense), so I typically wear a headset when he's there.

Been climbing 18 years and route set for a bit of it. The setting is well thought and amazing, plenty of routes, and they change the routes often. Grades are pretty accurate to outdoor climbing which better prepares anyone looking to build up for the outdoors. I do wish the gym closed a bit later (11pm) to get a longer workout in. There's a few people I know who cant make it to the gym until 9pm. But this gym rocks

Was searching for a place to take my family for our first climbing experience. My family can best be described as a mess. We all have unique and rediculous personalities. We fit right in! Very friendly patrons and the staff, well let's just say awesome is the closest word to describing them.

It starts with signing the mandatory forms any establishment will have you sign if there is risky stuff going on in there. A saftey brief that an 8 year old can follow. Lesson on how to use the equipment and off to the races. You'll be growing and moaning your way to the top with your bus full of kids! OK maybe less groans and moans than my old behind and no or just a car full of kids. Either way a very fun time is guaranteed.

I hope they liked our tribe as much as we liked Focus, because they will definitely be seeing us again!

Owner was a nice guy, and the boulder area was really fun. Didn’t get to try it, but the auto belay/lead wall looked fun too. Will def go back.
